Gardens drawn by hand,
planted to last.
old steps, relaid
drawn in March
A small garden design and landscaping studio in Alder Vale. We sketch every garden on paper, build it ourselves and come back each season to look after it.
From sketch to garden
Every project starts as a drawing on the kitchen table. Drag the handle to see the same garden two summers after planting.

How a garden happens
We visit, measure, and note the light, the soil and what is worth keeping.
A hand drawn plan and a planting list you can hold, mark up and change.
Paths, beds and terraces first. Plants go in at the right time of year.
Pruning, mulching and replanting visits, so the garden improves with age.

Small crew, muddy boots
The people who draw your garden are the people who dig it. No subcontracted teams, no catalogue schemes.

Start with a walk around the garden
Tell us a little about your plot and we will come by with a tape measure and a flask. The first visit is a conversation, nothing more.
